Ways to apply

We want to make applying for a mortgage as simple as possible for you, so our UK based mortgage advisors are on hand to speak to you as soon as you're ready, either over the phone or in your local branch.

Before you apply

Before you go ahead and apply for your mortgage, you may be interested in using our online tools to get an idea of what your monthly repayments might be, and how much you may be able to borrow.

When you're ready to apply

You can apply for your Northern Rock mortgage over the phone on 0800 0285 277* or in your local branch. The application process will take around 30-40 minutes and one of our mortgage advisors will guide you through the process to make it as smooth as possible.

What you'll need:

  • Address(es) for last 3 years
  • Your income
  • Details of your outgoings
  • Details of the mortgages you require

What you'll get:

  • A KFI (Key Facts Illustration)?
  • A Decision in Principle (DIP)?
  • Complete your mortgage application

* Our call centre is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm Saturday, and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. Calls are charged at your service provider’s rate and may be monitored and recorded.
