Wanting to pay off your Northern Rock mortgage?

If you wish to repay your Northern Rock mortgage account i.e. redeem your mortgage (and you do not have solicitor representation) you will need to follow the below steps.

 

Request a Redemption statement

You can do this in four ways:

  • Contact us at our UK based call centres on 0845 602 8301 for further information*
  • Write to us at Redemptions Department, Northern Rock House, Northern Rock plc, Gosforth NE3 4PL.
  • Fax your request to 08456035870
  • Apply online by signing on to your online account and select 'view your mortgage online'
  • Request one at your local branch

Ensure you specify your preferred date of redemption.

Repaying the loan

The redemption figure on the statement will confirm the amount you will need to pay to fully redeem your mortgage on the specified date. If you do not make payment on that date, you will need to adjust the figure according to the instructions on the statement.

You can make payment in the following ways:

  • Payment by Cheque. Please send to Redemptions Department, Northern Rock House, Northern Rock plc, Gosforth NE3 4PL and quote your mortgage account number on the back of the cheque.
  • Payment by Telegraphic Transfer. Our bank details are Barclays Bank plc, sort code 20-59-42, account number 60655996 and ensure your bank clearly quote your mortgage account number.

Once we have received the required funds, the following will be completed:

  • Our charge on your property will be removed.
  • Any Title documents that we hold for your property will be despatched to the required location.
  • Any refunds applicable will be sent

*Lines are open 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday. Calls are charged at your service provider’s prevailing rate and may be monitored and recorded.
